Al Khamsa Arabian Horses
are those Arabian horses in North
America that can reasonably be
assumed to descend entirely from
Bedouin Arabian horses bred by
horse-breeding Bedouin tribes of the
deserts of the Arabian peninsula
without admixture from sources
unacceptable to Al Khamsa. Al
Khamsa reserves the right to
determine which horses are called Al
Khamsa Arabian Horses.

And the Creator took a handful of the Southern Breeze blew His breath over it, and created the horse. He said to the magnificent creature, "I have made thee as no other. All the treasures of the earth lie between thy eyes. Thou shall carry my friends upon thy back. Thy saddle shall be the seat of prayers to me. Thou shall fly without wings, and conquer without any sword. Oh, horse." ~ Bedouin Legend ~
|
is devoted to the preservation of the horse of
Bedouin Arabia, as recognized by Al Khamsa.
This preservation will be primarily of the
Babson-Sirecho bloodlines.
Straight Babson Egyptian Arabians trace in all
lines of their pedigree to the 1932 importation
from Egypt by Henry Babson from the stud of
Prince Kemel al Dine and the Royal Agricultural
Society of Prince Mohammed Ali. In addition to
the original horses imported, we also find the
addition of the stallion, Sirecho, to be of great
importance in our breeding program.
